Within legendary London, the city that everyone thinks of as grey and rainy, we find an all-white lair, a slap in the face to those rainy and gloomy days.

The white reflects the light better than any other color, and all of the space in this London home allow it to be the hero.  From the outside, this looks like a typical English home, one with exposed brick walls, windows with venetian blinds, a small courtyard in front, and a garden in the back.  Once we enter; however, we are transported into a completely different style, the Nordic style.  This style has very little in common with the English style of carpets, tapestries, wallpapers, and Queen’s Jubilee mugs, which has found a place to shine.  The heart of this home is found in the wide veranda in the back, which floods the house with natural light.  Here, we can sit on the bench, read a good book, and listen to the pitter patter of raindrops on glass, or we can organize a lunch with friends while enjoying the December sun.  A set of beautiful white chairs from the DAW sessions of Charles and Eames surrounds a splendid, rustic, and wooden table, which balances the rest of the all-white furnishings.  Moving into the kitchen, we find more wooden details with the countertop, which descends and nearly connects to the parquet flooring.  Thanks to the Tolix stools by French designer Xavier Pauchard, we see that this kitchen countertop can also serve as a bar.  Continuing our journey through this home, we arrive in the bedroom, where white colors remain dominant; however, here we find hints of maritime style: woven baskets, sky-blue pillows, and a towel covering the trunk, all contrasting the fireplace next to the bed.

An immaculate Nordic nest in the midst of hectic and grey London.
